The London Wetlands Centre in Barnes

The London Wetland Centre

is a great for accessablity because most of the paths are tarmat, the ones that are not are gravel but compact so scooters and wheelchairs may find it a little bit bumpy but not too bad.

This is a photo of the site where the wetland centre is now before the building began, big site isn't it.

It is The 42 hectares, it is split into two halfs that are set arond the Visitors centre and cafe and small film, that is very good but getting a bit dated now.

Here is the map of the whole site, sorry it is so small it is hard for me to read.

photo of visitor centre:

As you can see it is flat tarmat, here are the toilets including the accessible on, (that is now also baby changing), the Theatre is here where the film is showing every 20 minutes I think.

This is the Water Edge cafe that has the normal range of drinks: lattie, tea, hot chocolate, fliter coffee, soft drinks: Coke, Diet Coke, orange juice, bottled water, wine, beer.
There is a inside seating area, when it rains and the seats are not fixed nor are the tables, it's a self service arrangement, but asked if you need help.
